TFT Travels: Le Grande Epicerie de Paris
This grande dame of the gourmet grocery world left us floored. And waiting to pay her another visit.

Le Grande Epicerie de Paris – grand indeed.
Weekends are the best time to be a good host. Sometimes even to yourself. I quite enjoy curating a nice meal for two. It’s all the fun of a party, without any of the fuss. Of course if you happen to be in Paris in one such mood, Le Epecerie should be your gourmet go-to store.
As you can see, even a stroll through these well curated aisles is a treat in itself.
There’s confectionary, a charcuterie, a boulangerie, a caviar bar and a fromagerie all rolled into one under a very elegant roof.
And did I mention – it’s truffle heaven. Every kind, in every expression of truffles ever made or thought of (almost) is right there for you to devour.
It’s an exhilarating experience, to say the least, for any gourmand and no section of the store has any potential to disappoint you in any aspect.
The most elaborate water bar, discreet yet attentive service, are just some of the many virtues of this gorgeous store.
We bought some very interesting appetisers for our evening and of course some champagne. When in Paris . . .
Le Grande Epicerie has raised the bar. Grocery shopping will never be the same again.
